Safety
So you can meet people you don’t know, safely
On Planliyoo, safety is not a setting, it is the product. There are measures that protect you at every stage of a meetup.
Before the meetup
- Opening or joining an activity needs a verified phone number; Planliyoo is for people aged 18 and over.
- Attendance and reliability scores follow the same rules for everyone. People you blocked and people who do not pass the reliability filter are not suggested to you.
- Your exact location is never shared; others only see an approximate distance.
- Activity texts and chats are checked against the community guidelines.
During the meetup
- The meeting place is a busy public spot open to the whole group.
- The meeting word in the group chat confirms you are meeting the right people.
- “5 minutes away” and “I’m here” let the group know who is where.
- You can share your meetup details with someone you trust through a link.
After the meetup
- Participants rate each other, and the ratings feed into trust scores.
- From the safety centre in the app you can report or block a person.
- Reports go to the moderation team; serious cases are reviewed first.
In an emergency
If you feel in danger, leave the meetup at once and call 112. Then report it in the app; our team will review it.
