Explicit Consent Notice

The processing below is optional. You can use the app without giving consent. You can give each one separately, or withdraw it at any time on the Profile → Privacy screen in the app; withdrawal applies from that moment on. The details of the processing are in the Privacy Notice.

Location

What for: Finding nearby requests with your approximate location while the app is open, and showing the distance.

How: The location is rounded to about 500 metres before it leaves your device; the exact location is not stored, no location is taken in the background, and other users see only the approximate distance.

If you do not give it: The centre of the district or neighbourhood you type is used.

The meetup check-in does not depend on this consent: When you confirm a meetup with the QR code, the camera is on only while reading the code (no image is recorded), and at in-person meetups the current location is taken to confirm the two phones are together and deleted when the check-in window closes. This is done to provide the service and prevent false attendance; the details are in the Privacy Notice. If you prefer not to open the camera, you can type the code instead.

Personalisation

What for: Suggestions and notifications based on the activity types you are interested in.

If you do not give it: General suggestions are shown.

Campaign notifications

What for: Notifications about sponsor discounts and campaigns.

If you do not give it: No campaign notifications are sent; meetup and safety notifications are not affected.

Identity verification

What for: Identity and liveness verification with an identity document and a short face capture (biometric data), to add a "verified" badge to your profile.

How: The document and the images are processed directly by the verification provider SumSub and may be transferred abroad; we keep only the result.

If you do not give it: No verification is made and no badge is given; you can use the rest of the app.
